Camping Trip Report: Moab, Utah - March 8-12, 2024

This past March, a group of about 20 adventurous souls, embarked on an unforgettable camping trip to the breathtaking landscapes of Moab, Utah. From March 8 through March 12, we reveled in the warm, snow-free weather, a pleasant surprise compared to the previous year when an amazing night snow made an appearance. Our days were packed with thrilling 4-wheeling escapades and challenging rock climbing sessions, making it a perfect blend of excitement and camaraderie.

4-Wheeling Extravaganza

Moab is renowned for its off-roading trails, and this year did not disappoint. With our convoy of 4x4s, we tackled some of the most exhilarating trails, including Chicken Corners and Seven Mile Rim. The warm weather and clear skies provided ideal conditions for off-roading. The red rock landscape, with its unique formations and expansive vistas, added to the sense of adventure. Every bump, dip, and climb was met with cheers and laughter as we navigated the rugged terrain. We had a first timer take her Jeep out and do an amazing job on Seven Mile Rim!

Conquering the Cliffs

Rock climbing in Moab is a must-do, and we were eager to tackle the towering cliffs that dot the landscape. With harnesses on and chalk bags at the ready, we spent hours scaling the red sandstone walls. The warm sun on our backs and the cool desert breeze made for perfect climbing conditions. From beginners to seasoned climbers, everyone found routes that challenged their skills and pushed their limits. The sense of accomplishment at reaching the top, coupled with the stunning panoramic views, made every climb worthwhile.
