July 4th 2022 Trip
Camping trip over the 4th of July in White Ranch Park in the foothills.
The nights of July 3rd and July 4th we will have a campsite at the Sawmill Campground. The rumor is this campground in on the hogbacks just overlooking the front range and the fireworks on July 4th are almost at eyelevel. Seems like a good enough reason to make a trip out of it.
This is not car camping, the campsite is just over 1 mile hike form the parking long. The main trail is wide and slightly uphill. The perfect opportunity to try out backpacking, or play with some of that new gear.
Currently only open spaces for 2 more vehicles ( you need a pass to leave a vehicle overnight, Jefferson County will ticket and tow) and 6 more people. If there is interest we can add more to the permit. At this time there is no cost for the camping.
